On this page

We keep this notice focused on information that is relevant to the public SignalHarbor IT website, its forms, software downloads, and SignalHarbor Capture. Information handled as part of an ongoing managed IT relationship may also be governed by applicable service agreements.

Who we are

SignalHarbor IT, LLC operates this website and is responsible for the information described in this notice.

For privacy questions or requests, email contact@signalharborit.com.

Information from website visits

Our hosting provider keeps standard website access and security logs. These logs can include a truncated network address, date and time, requested page or file, response information, referring page, and browser or user-agent information. Hosting logs are retained for approximately eight weeks.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used. Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process technical information about your visit. We do not use this website to sell personal information.

Forms and email

When you submit a Contact, IT Review, or Pricing Estimate form, we receive the information you choose to enter. We use it to respond to your request, understand your needs, or prepare the estimate you requested.

Form submissions are temporarily retained by our website form system, normally for about one to four weeks, and a copy is delivered to our business email. Email correspondence may remain in our business email records unless it is manually deleted; we do not currently use a fixed automatic deletion schedule for business email.

We use an automated spam-prevention service on public forms. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing list.

Payments and client services

This website does not directly collect payment-card or bank-account credentials. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. If you follow a payment or Client Support link, you leave the public SignalHarbor IT website and the destination service handles information under its own terms and privacy practices.

Account, tenant, device, and other information handled after a customer relationship begins is outside the scope of this public website notice and may be governed by the applicable service agreement.

Software and downloads

Requests to download SignalHarbor software pass through the same hosted environment described above and may appear in normal website access logs.

SignalHarbor Capture does not currently send usage analytics or crash telemetry to SignalHarbor IT. It can check SignalHarbor IT for software updates when it starts unless that check is disabled, and when you manually request an update check.

Capture and its Firefox companion can transfer browser and session information locally on your computer so Capture can perform a recording you request. That browser-session information is not automatically sent to SignalHarbor IT.

Capture logs can contain sensitive technical information.

Local diagnostic logs may include URLs, cookies, authentication or session information, and other technical details. Logs are sent to SignalHarbor IT only when you choose to provide them for support. Review logs before sending them to us or anyone else.

Capture may also communicate with third-party websites and services at your direction while performing recording or related functions. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices and requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided, where applicable. We may retain information when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, contractual, or legitimate business-record purposes.

SignalHarbor IT does not sell personal information, and information submitted through our public forms is not automatically used for marketing email.

This website is intended for business and professional users in the United States and is not directed to children.

We may update this notice as our website, software, or data practices change. When we make a material change, we will revise the effective date shown above.
